Michael Roppo

55 year old, Mike Roppo, is a carpenter. Mike loved watching drag racing as a kid, raised his family and started racing in 2000. Mike bracket raced at Route 66 Dragway in Division 3 bracket program and in 2014 while at the World Series in Cordova saw Nostalgia Pro Stocks racing and knew he wanted one of his own. That winter, he and friends built the Rod Shop tribute car. Known for his long burnouts and dry hops, Mike is sure to get the crowd cheering with each pass. Originally campaigned by Butch Leal, the car is a 1984 Firebird with a Willie Rells chassis and 4 speed Lenco.
